After the decline of the Klara Zetkin Reshetylivka Factory of Art Products, the Solomia Reshetylivka Craft Studio was created, where craftsmen create products with embroidery elements and carpet weaving.
The workshop has been operating since 2004 and continues the traditions established in 1905 by the Poltava Provincial Zemstvo of an exemplary and demonstrative weaving workshop, which is associated with the achievements of Ukrainian decorative and applied art. Since 2017, the Solomia studio has been a carrier of the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine. Masters have the technology of performing embroidery "white on white" and the technology of weaving a carpet with plant ornament.
The craftsmen of "Solomia" continue the traditions of hand-weaving Ukrainian carpets and fashionable European tapestries — decorations of museums and modern houses. A creative approach is used to make a carpet or tapestry: planning the plot of the product, creating a color sketch for the size of the carpet, dyeing the wool in the appropriate colors. After all these preparatory works, you can begin to implement the plan.
